"OLI CAPTURED OUR DAY BEAUTIFULLY AND HE WAS GREAT TO HAVE AROUND AS WELL. HE REALLY PUT EVERYONE AT EASE AND IT SHOWS IN THE PHOTOS"
Amy and Ashley's winter elopement was an understated, untraditional, intimate day of absolute joy and love- and I ABSOLUTELY loved being part of it!! So thanks guys for having me! You rock!!!
Now when you have a winter elopement in the UK, you've got a few things against you, namely the weather (cold and probably rainy) and it getting dark super early! None of that mattered to these guys though, and by first light we were out in the woods for some pre-getting ready to get married photos! We managed to dodge the rain, which stopped just long enough for a walk around the woods. I have to say Amy and Ashley are both absolute naturals at having their photo taken- no direction required for this loved up couple, and such a nice start to their wedding day.
It was then back to theirs via a quick trip to the hair salon. It's not often a bride cooks me veggie sausages for lunch on her wedding day, but this one did! Thanks Amy- you absolute legend! Photos with Joshua, Amy and Ashley's 20 year-old cat were on the essentials list, and then it was time to get ready.
Amy looked stunning in a mustard coloured dress covered in birds (absolutely perfect for Amy as she works for the RSPB), whilst Ashley looked great in his bow tie and chino combo. You don't often see couples getting ready together, but it really made it all that special watching these two helping each other get ready.
There were just 20 close family members at the ceremony at Biggleswade Registry Office, and it was getting dark as we came outside with the newlyweds, but there was still time for photos of everyone congratulating the new Mr and Mrs Morrison, and some group shots.
The reception was at The Courtyard Centre in Biggleswade, an absolute gem of a place with delicious healthy vegetarian food and a really relaxed vibe. The cake was even healthy! It was just perfect for these guys.
Amy and Ashley had such a personal and intimate day, I loved it, I'm sure they loved it, and it looked something like this....
